Here I am at the Mali-Senegal border, Lost in a Good Book on the long trip between my home in Kayes, Mali, and the capital of Senegal, Dakar. For years we have petitioned the governments of both countries as well as private interests to establish airship service between the national capitals, to no avail. So every 6 weeks or so I hit the road once again. Why? you ask. Most people think it's because I live in Mali and my children go to school in Senegal, but between you and me that's just a front for my lucrative cheese smuggling business from Senegal (where it is traded freely) to Mali (where restrictions are similar to the UK). Mum's the word, okay?
