Thursday Next Extreme: Indigo

Hello Jasper!

This picture was taken in Bluff, at the southernmost tip of the South Island of New Zealand (purists will point out that the honour belongs to Slope Point, but the saying goes "from Bluff to Cape Reinga", meaning the length of the country, and they don't have a nice yellow post there, either). Anyways, it is extremely far away from everything else, at the outer limits of civilization, or just beyond. The photo was taken in January, which is theoretically the height of summer down here, but it is an extreme Southland summer. Protective stormproof raingear while reading a good book is mandatory at all times, sometimes even indoors. Good as gold!
