The historic cover that first featured Jack and Mary and 'The Big Over Easy'. I liked the whole policework as media entertainment subplot, and Amazing Crime Stories has quite a large part in the book, so we thought we'd design Jack's first cover. The picture of the gasometers in Reading is unretouched - it is genuinely like that. There is another cover design in the back of the book that was done by me; this one is Mari's. Note Poe getting second billing.
