<HTML>Well, if it helps any, here in the states they're sold in bags (with "Lentils" written on them) right next to the rice in the grocery store. They look sort of like small flat brownish dried peas.
I've never cooked lentils in my life (although I've eaten them), but was able to pick up a small bag for less than one dollar, and only used about half the bag. Not a large investment.

<HTML>Over here lentils are strange, half pea-like coloured things that look like rabbit food. Vegetarians are fond of them, which probably accounts for them looking so pissed off all the time...

Why ot amke a entroposcope out of just rice, and if strange coloured things appear in it then things are REALLY weird....</HTML>

<HTML>But wouldn't the appearance of strange coloured things result in a rise in the degree of disorder (relative to rice only), and indicate an increase rather than a decrease in entropy?

Although I suppose that if they got in there to begin with it would mean the molecules lined up correctly for them to fit - which would be highly unlikely.

Makes it a tad difficult to interpret the results.</HTML>

<HTML>Well, I see that Magda's Pickwick has been give the Official Fforde Seal of Approval (see Reader's Nuggets Page on Jasper's main site) - and quite right too - so I guess Pete & Dave didn't mind too much!</HTML>
