Pretending to be Me

<HTML>A recommendation to all and sundry (which basically means
Dave, Jon, Sarah (and possibly Jessica - no idea where you're from))
but I went to see Tom Courtney in <b>Pretending to be Me</b>
at the West Yorkshire Playhouse last night.

Very good. He plays Philip Larkin reminiscing and reading some of
his poetry. If you're in Leeds soon, it's a good night.</HTML>

<HTML>You don't want to work too hard. Just in case...

Good to find extra members of our Yorkshire contingent.</HTML>

<HTML>BTW Jon,

I always refer to my young bro as 'R kid.

Slightly different spelling but I like the phrase. Confuses the foreigners
(including Southerners) who think he must be my son although he's
only two years younger !</HTML>

<HTML>I'd better tell this story before he does. I was once mistaken for Adams' father. And my father was often taken to be his brother. Sheesh.</HTML>

<HTML>R kid A - sounds familiar - never underestimate the effects of Mark and Lard on the southerners in the midst.</HTML>

<HTML>Oh dear. I've never had the problem face-to-face but, when regaling stories
of beating up 'R kid as a child, I've got into "misunderstandings"</HTML>

<HTML>He he he - I remember it well our Jon was most upset, dad was well chuffed and I was hysterical. It was in the Abbey in Oldham.

Mark and Lard are superb, unfortunatley I never get to hear them anymore.</HTML>

<HTML>I second that. With having to 'work' I don't get to listen so had forgotten.

When I were a lad, there weren't such a thing as Mark and Lard...
(we had Steve Wright, the less said the better)</HTML>

<HTML>And his Sunday Love Songs...

Enough to make you turn over and listen to the Archers.

(Yes he still has a bunch of sycophants to laugh at his jokes.)</HTML>
