Invasion!

Does The Socialist Republic of Wales have any plans to invade the not quite picturesque town of Oswestry? It is a small market (now supermarket) town in the Welsh Marches. English, but on the border with North Wales. It is famous only for a war poet and a golfer and the only thing they share is an understandable dislike of bunkers. For hundreds of years the English and Welsh fought over Oswestry, with The Welsh eventually winning the argument and finally getting rid of the place. However should an invasion of England be on the cards Oswestry could take on an added significance - there is a bus route to Shrewsbury that only takes an hour for starters! Or could it be a Welsh Falkland Islands? I'll end this now, any more info could cost lives. (I'm already on the run from the Oswestry tourist information service!)</HTML>

Beats giving out crappy leaflets like every other one does... "Spend your day in Bugnor's End, officially Borchestershire's sunniest town, with only 300,000mm of rain (Weekly).
