Fabulous photo of Jasper Fforde

<HTML>Wow! I've just spotted the fabulous photo of Jasper standing on the fire escape of Waterstone's in Piccadilly in the current Waterstones quarterly ---it's part of their feature on 'Faces of the Future' (which given the existence of the chronoguard is certainly an interesting phrase!). Advise all Jasper Fforde fans to acquire a copy of this mag a.s.a.p (Glen Duncan on page 33 is very dishy too, but let's not be disloyal.) There's also a review of LIAGB on page 35.)</HTML>

<HTML>
a colleague of mine (I work for the devil company) commented that JFf was the only one you'd want to meet, based on those pics. They must all have been sent a memo to wear black & look moody ~</HTML>

<HTML>Can I just say that I never became a Fforde Ffan because I thought he looked dishy. I'd like that point made clear, because I wish to further remark that it's a good job Jasper is a happily partnered person, otherwise chaps round his neck of the woods would be going well short.

I mean, picture the scene; an interestingly painted (nearly) Porsche zooms up. Out jumps a handsome fellow who proves to be both intelligent and witty. He used to work in the film business, is now an international best-selling author, and oh, yes, scuba-dives and flies his own aeroplane. Ladies, what would you think? Yes, of course, you'd think he was a bloody liar, but, what would you think when you found out it was all true?</HTML>

<HTML>I believe it was the late and mainly unlamented Herr Hitler who observed that if you were going to tell a lie, tell a big one, presumably on the grounds that if size does mean anything, lies were all he had.</HTML>

<HTML>Apparently he had one ball, although whether it was one of those really bouncy ones that you lose really easily as they bounce over the garden fence, history fails to relate.</HTML>

<HTML>Actually didn't Stalin hand it to that famous Russian with three balls - Hoodyanikabollokov, whose half-brother was the famous Trotkyist and snooker player - Innov the Red?</HTML>

<HTML>boy, if saw someone like that roar up in his sportscar and claim to be all that, I'd probably tell him to get over his mid-life crisis. And then if I found out that it, indeed, was true and if the photos were accurate, I do believe I'd swoon and flirt my @ss off! (But mostly cuz he's interesting!)</HTML>
