Er, I'm stuck on none, with none confirmed.... This is despite my best efforts to accost anyone good looking on the train... This strategy has so far failed to deliver either readers or dates, although it did deliver an interview with the police. Does that count?

(i should get extra points for this one)

And 1 confirmed - my friend Becky

And 1 that got the books for Xmas but hasn't read them yet...

Can I claim one father and one brother, please? My wife hasn't read the books, but thinks Jasper's very nice .... does that count?

I'd like to claim one large good-natured vendor of lingerie. As an acolyte, you understand, not in any other sense... perish the thought...

And Gillian (Skiffle) would certainly like to claim me. Where you fit Minsky into this equation is probably up to you.

I was working in a bookstore when TEA came out in the US. Co-worker recommended it to me. I read it, loved it, made it a staff selection and hand sold five copies of the book in less than a week, jumping TEA to the top of the store's bestseller list. Hand sold a few more copies before I finally quit. LOVED the books, but couldn't deal with the customers. Got someone in my writer's group to read it, loaned my UK pb edition to my co-worker at my new job. Dunno what the customers thought, but the guy who originally recommended to me is a fan (and that should count as he hadn't actually read the book when he recommended it to me, but I MADE him read it once I was finished), and the woman in my writer's group is psyched about the pending US release of LIAGB. Co-worker is still "getting to it" with the first one. Have the UK edition of LIAGB ready for when she finishes. :)

I've got one. More like 1/2 though, as I bought it for his birthday last year and he's still not read it. His wife has though, but it wasn't specifically bought for her.

oh dear. Is it still 1/2. We need some clever maths here..

Dave: You can count one extra as you mentioned TEA to me.

I've only converted my sister and one of her mates. So far...

So does anyone have any good stories about trying to get people to read Ffordian literature? Like, has someone been REALLY resistant to read it but you pestered them so much they finally did it to get you off of their back but ended up really enjoying it? Stuff like that. We can put it in the newsletter! Email us at:

Well, I *could* claim most of the Exeter Sci-Fi society, but as my books have only got round one of the members so far, I think I'll have to wait and see how many get converted by the Con :)

Got four avid Ffans in our house. Out of four. I think that's good going.

I have something to say about TN3. I want it now!!!
