To my amusement, in yesterday's San Jose (USA) Mercury News, I came upon a story of a real police sting operation involving stolen first edition books. Read like it could be out of the journals of Thursday Next.

Thought Mr. Fforde and the fans here might enjoy. I've been turning Bay Area fans on to The Eyre Affair and Lost in a Good Book...
