Back Out - to cancel attendance of a previously booked arrangement eg Foyles launch of The Big Over Easy
Back Out - to render oneself incapacitated with a spinal problem eg bending to lift the ironing basket incorrectly.
So - put my back out on Sunday resulting in my having to back out of the Foyles Launch.
Rather cross.
Hope it went well.
