Three strikes and I'm out...

As nobody is rushing to step into the breach, I'm going to sit down and write another verbose, inaccurate and over-editorialised guide to every reference I can spot, and none of the ones I don't. This will, however, be the final guide I write as I'm old enough to grow up and write something of my own now.

This time, however, it's not going to be a one-man show, as ViolentViolet has offered to help me track down obscurities and also to sub-edit the worst of my writing. We reckon we'll have a first draft to you within two or three weeks, although this depends on how much net access we have as we're both moving house.

In the meantime, any truly obscure references should be emailed to the usual address, where I'll wish heartily that I'd spotted them before.

This is the work of an Italian narco-anarchic collective. Don't bother insulting them, they can't read English anyway.

I doubt I'll find anything particularly obscure, but I'll probably reread it shortly and if I do notice anything I think you might miss, I'll send it along...

Also, I'm happy to proof-read it for you if you'd like to get someone else to do it.

Ben, I have serious doubts you'll find someone willing (i.e. able) to take over. That having been said, I'm up for proofreading as long as it's after the 19th of August (plus a day or two to read the book).

If the English language made any sense, a catastrophe would be an apostrophe with fur.
