My shiny book (signed) arrived today ! I was about to scan it for something risque ;-)

I was going to wonder if The Fourth Bear would be taken away from children, schools, etc. because in it, (I don't want to spoil the book for you, Marly, but it's not an event very integral to the plot) Mary Mary takes her clothes off in space. And is photographed. That's all. Save the children!

We should mosey on over to Nextian Chat, as per SkidMarks's implied suggestion. I don't think they like our kind over there, though--us lonely Nursery Crime fans.

The reason I deleted this at first was because it was my *very first post* on the Fforum, and I realized that EVERYONE would take me for a vile, nasty pervert upon realizing that this of all things appeared to be my very first concern, even before introducing myself. It was just the only thing I could think of at the time, honest! I ain't no weirdo... Well, not in that vein, at least :)

Actually, as far as I know, there is nothing that indicates the order of your posts. It is possible to see your total number of posts, but as long as you posted more than once no one would know that it had been your first.

And I think the reason why we encourage people to spend more time in Nextian Chat is that I suspect most people don't look very often to see if there are new posts in these other forums. So it makes sense to keep general comments about the books, as well as other subjects, in a more central part of the forum. But no reason why one can't post here for specific discussion about TFB!

I only suggested it as a welcome and to protect those interested in a particular book or series from suffering too much Nextian cultured anarchy.

If you search on an author, I think that you can then backtrack to their first post if you really want to find out.
