I can't remember which characters are in which book. Time for a reread.

Dorian Gray's a book character, created by Oscar Wilde. Not sure about Virginia Kreeper.

The Quangle Wangle, Bisky Bat, the small Olympian bear, Attery Squash (and probably a few other mentioned quang-tech people) all come from Edward Lear's The Quangle
Wangle's Hat

Red Riding Hood, her grandmother, the woodsman and the wolf - although not major characters, Jack's handling of their case (and their post-traumatic stress after being recovered from the wolf's stomach) is a major factor in his being referred for a psychological assessment.

Prometheus, although not strictly a nursery rhyme but another PDR just like Jack.

Jack's wife Madeline is from The Fall of the House of Usher.
