Maybe this is just me thinking too much into things, but can Oranges, Greens and Purples see three colors instead of one? Reds see red, Yellows see yellow and Blues see blue, but:

Red + Yellow = Orange
Blue + Yellow = Green
Blue + Red = Purple

Instead of using only high preception Reds, Yellows and Blues for color sorting duty, wouldn't it be more logical to use high perception Oranges, Greens and Purples?

welcome back. Have you been hiding?
My guess is that to work, you have to think in broader colours and not get hung up on primaries. (You could ask Jasper if he is at a signing near you in the near future.)

As it is what people see, the primaries would be red blue green, not red blue yellow. It all gets very complicated. Printing normally uses cyan magenta and yellow, or cyan, magenta, yellow and black.

Look up additive primaries and subtractive primaries if you want to find out more. Then forget it all and enjoy the book!
