Too Clever For Cursing

Mr. Ffrorde--
I thought your book was ingenious in plot and clever generally. But I did not enjoy the cursing, which caused me to skip several sections of the book. I believe you, sir, are far too clever, and have too highly developed a vocabulary, to use such language and your books would retain a special flavor if your characters considered words like: "curses" or "drat" and the like, in situations of danger or upset.
Also, it would be lovely if you would consider Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple in one of your books. I hear they are bored silly in retirement.
Cordially,
Me
