IŽll write a book titled "Life as Custard" perhaps.

<Invents device somewhere between a spengler and a codwangle in order to trap ES and release into the wild>

Quietly questions wisdom of releasing ES into wild but fears custard reprisals so hums Born Free very audibly instead.

What's wrong with Martin Freeman? Why on earth doesn't this boy have eyebrows? Where's my chocolate? Will there be no more party animals then?
Green is my favourite colour?

Here, Kitten, have some consolation Kit Kat.

Who's Martin Freeman? Is he related to Morgan Freeman? Why is Cambridge? Are giant wellies a sign of things to come?

An anonymous ruler of the world/Only by seven degrees of removal/Are you sure there is a Cambridge, or is it a cardboard replica?/Yes.

<Pounces on kit-kat. Toys with it briefly before disemboweling and consuming, remembering to leave half of it on ES's doormat>

Ooh, half a demolished Kit-Kat! Better chuck that in the bin then. People shouldn't waste their food.

Disembowelling a Kit-Kat is so juvenile.

When do we get the giant wellies?

No no, it's not giant wellies, it's giant *whelks*... And I think they are being delivered to Tokyo, to make the transmute for the rampage easier.

Could have been worse; BK could have disemvowelled it - a KtKt!

Returning to the original topic (...why?):

Stills of the new Doctor and latest companion:
[news.bbc.co.uk]

Seems the companions are getting younger, too. Maybe the next Doctor, the unweaned one, can have a teddy bear as a companion.

That reminds me of the Who spoof where the Doctor was played one after the other by Rowan Atkinson, Richard E Grant, Hugh Grant and several others followed by a female reincarnation.

That was "Curse of the Fatal Death" - the 1999 Comic Relief special. Interestingly enough it was written by Stephen Moffat.

You'll have to excuse my ignorance, but I know not who Stephen Moffat is. It was quite humourous anyhow!

Stephen Moffat will take over from Russell T Davies as lead writer and executive producer after this year (which is just a handful of one-off specials rather than a series). He wrote some of the best episodes of recent years like Blink (with the weeping angels) and The Empty Child (London in the Blitz with the small child wandering around asking everyone if they were his mummy).

He also wrote the two-part series in set the library this past year, which had its moments but I didn't care for allusions to a shared past / future between the Doctor and River Song. That's just me, though!

Ah, they were of the sort that kind of hang around in your mind afterward. Not a proper series? There's a disappointment!

My fave episodes by him were "Blink" and "The girl in the Fireplace".

Away from Dr Who, he also wrote the rather excellent "Jekyll".
