OK, that's me off to Torquay for a week, where men drink cider, women drink even more cider, and there ain't no computers.

Have fun, boys and girls.

Well I was scaring all the commuters by cycling in my shorts this morning. I'll be scaring a few more when I cycle home shortly.
It's supposed to hit 23C in Leeds tomorrow.

Our weather has been decidedly odd of late. A week ago today, we had several inches of snow on the ground, and woke up to freezing rain. Today it's supposed to get up to 85 F (or 30 C according to the Canadian radio station I woke up to this morning). And it's supposed to go back down near freezing Thursday night.

someone I knew at work went to stay in Cornwall, Apparently their hotel was so like 'Fawlty Towers' it wasn't true. The owner seemed to think that the guests were just there to annoy her and get in her way.

It was 92 degrees here today! HOT! especially considering last week's highs were in the low 40's!

It was so warm that I gave the dog a bath as she'd dry quickly. The dog decided she wasn't drying quickly enough in the sun on the patio, and rolled in the dirt that is currently forming the proto-lawn.

I was not impressed...

well I'm down in Kent at Kate's parents, and a lovely day it is too. I've spent the past few days in bed with the flu (yes, it was proper flu, not just a cold. I had aches, shivers, a temperature ranging from 103 to 104 and other icky things).

Am finally up and about. Still feel icky though....

on Kate's mum's pc at the mo, so not much time to spend catching up.

have a good easter everyone, hope the bunny brings lots of edibles....

Poor Dave!!! I hope you feel better soon...and I really hope Eddie and Kate don't catch it (or her parents for that matter!) My hubby is recovering from a mysterious 24 hour thing that caused him to vomit violently. Poor guy...he never pukes! (hoping *I* don't get that!)

but one thing I have to say, there's nothing more pitiful than a grown man who is ill with cold or flu-like bugs. Totally in need of being waited on! LOL

Come on Dave, don't be such a girl ;-)

Say Hi to everyone down in Burwash. The weather's been fantastic up here too. Lots of gardening done. There'll be all kinds of exciting stuff to eat next time you pop over...

AAC - That'd be 24-Hour Vomiting Virus then (It's amazing how they think of these names...)

Dave - get well soon...

Everybody else - I can lay turf better than carpets. I have no idea if this is good or not. And Bredon Hill has a rock shaped like an elephant. There's no reason for me to tell you this, I just thought I would. (There's a good toe-hold in it's bumcrack, if you need to know - yes, I couldn't resisit climbing it and *happened* to have my kit on me...)

actually, it turns out it's not 24hours :( My hubby had to come home early today b/c he was feeling nasty again. He missed work on Wednesday too. Poor guy! I hope he feels better soon cuz we have family coming to town tomorrow and they're staying for a week and there's much to do! (so why am I on here!!?!!)

Oh well, hope he gets well soon even if it doesn't have a snazzy name!
