How come things always list to starboard? I have never heard of a port list, well not in nautical terms anyway. I have worked through a few lists of port though; these days I prefer muscat.

Niepoort Colheita Port 1934
Taylor Fladgate Vintage Port 1963
Taylors 40 year old
Grahams Vintage Port 1942

Muscat is o.k. but without spending stratospheric sums, the above will do me for now.

Is it a list TO port in order to stop people making list OF port jokes?

Surely a Port list would always have to follow a Starboard list otherwise the Starboard list would become a capsize.

George Sands often had a little lizst - made her feel good, apparently.

Then she went off him - sort of de-lizsted him.

I enjoy a good liquer muscat when the weather is cold, a port before bedtime mit der coffee and chocolate.

As for Port jokes - leave them until the footy season.

I thought Sands was caught Chopin' not Lizstin' but I'm often a little behind the times on 19th century gossip so I could be wrong.

Add 19th century gossip to list of things I really ought to know more about.

Well, if you read your Robert Rankin you will find out much about Queen Victoria and her connections with one Hugo Rune.

This should be enlightening enough for most people.

Greenness is associated with kermitosis, a rare condition which one only experiences when stuck halfway up a stair (sic)*.

Don't worry Bibwit, Kermitosis is very, very rare in Europe - but if flies start looking attractive enough to eat, promise me you'll get yourself to a doctor immediately.
