New users: Please register in the usual way and then send an email to jasper(at)jasperfforde.com with your username, and write something 'Ffordesque' so we know you are a real reader, and not some idiot trying to flood the forum with dodgy Nike and Gucci gear. Thank you - Jasper
Well, I didn't feel like doing work yet, so I just wasted some time on Fforum statistics instead.
There are 80 users with profiles, but most have made less than 10 posts.
Of those 21 who have posted 10 or more times since setting up their profiles (after the new Fforums opened), here are the verbosity rankings:
891-- PoetScientistDrinker (does this surprise anyone?)
418-- Jon
379-- dave
281-- Sarah
241-- All American Cutie
208-- Magda
164-- Simon
159-- Rob
114-- Carla
74-- Sarah B
54-- adam
50-- dante
43-- fuzz
35-- ScarletBea
31-- Jo
24-- Dave Rainbow
18-- Ooktavia
15-- Vanessa
14-- Karen
13-- AuntSassy
12-- Panjandrum (Jasper Fforde)
Mind you, I'm sure Skiffle would be well up in the rankings, had she actually set up a profile and logged in before the flirtfest.

You have one! You can get to someone's profile by clicking on their name at the top of one of their posts. If they don't have a profile, you get a MailTo link instead, but if they've logged in, they have one.
Yours says that you've made 8 posts. You can edit it by looking at it and then clicking the blue bar above it where it says "Edit Profile". And you can get to your own profile at any time with the "My Profile" button at the bottom of each thread.

When did the fforum start working again? It can't have been more than three months ago, so in about ten days I'll hit the millennial post. Will then have to organise a party to celebrate...
Or am I just a Ffordian nerd?

This is the work of an Italian narco-anarchic collective. Don't bother insulting them, they can't read English anyway.
The old fforum lasted about a year & a half before jamming up: If this current one only has the same potential size then it looks likely to fill up in less than a third as long...
The reason they changed the software that deals with it was to avoid the same problems happening, which is why this one can also cope with the archived fforum of old.
I suspect I attacked that one just as much, to be honest...

Re the number of PSD's posts, the phrase "gobby little so-and-so" comes to mind. Though to be honest, if mine had been counted I guess it might be getting close to a pot-kettle situation.
I have found a piece of paper with what alleges to be my fforum password on it, but when I tried, it was rejected. I've asked the 'forgot your password' button for help, but that was nearly a week ago and I haven't had an answer. So I still can't log in and be counted.
Yes. The name Skiffle is available, or you wouldn't be able to use it without logging in, so why don't you just register under that?
