i've been re-reading the series and my mind suddenly connected felixs' last name to the school lola and randolph attended.

am i missing something, have i skipped a major subplot?

is it merely a coincidence?

or is there something more sinister lurking beneath the surface of this story?

Hmmm… Could be a sinister subplot, the significance of which we won't understand until Book Eight, but I think it's just that it's an appropriate name for both--they both have something to do with a "blank slate".

Welcome to the Fforum! Someone will be along shortly with pies (I recommend the savory) and tea. Don't feed the kitten, or indeed any of the fforumites, and you'll get by just fine.

Heavens no - do feed the kitten, it makes for much more fun! I think some form of alcohol's generally welcome... speaking of which, mine's a Brora, and welcome to you too.

Ignore them. It's fine to feed me unless it's after midnight. Chocolate and a vodka and tonic is always welcomed.

Welcome "theblackestcat". Here are the pies. Savoury marked, as usual with the letter S. So are sweet.

I think that Muse's suggestion of the blank slate connection is most likely, but who knows? Other than JFf of course. We have a bit of a wait to find out, though. I'm getting twitchy waiting for "Shades of Grey" even though it is not Nextian.

good thing risks are what we live for!

im not yet allowed alcohol,(please dont judge me on that!)so i i think that makes you my suppliers? but chocolate is always on the menu, no matter what

and thank you so much for the fantabulous fantasmagorical welcome! it really makes a girl feel loved :)

Don't touch the Moorhen pie. Rumour has it, it bites.

Nasty things, though not as bad as the plum pie.

I do know Jasper has said that the entire character of Felix was created solely for the purpose of including the joke "Haven't I seen your face somewhere before?"

I thought Jasper had run out of ideas and was re-using an old joke...

There are old jokes, and there are bad jokes. But there are no old, bad jokes.

Only joking.

There are many old bad jokes.

Some of them are corny....
