Boojums

Curiosity has just led me to carry out a google search for the term 'boojum' : The number of items found was "about 20'200"!
I only looked at the first thirty items. These contained several entries each for an Amercian travel company called Boojum Expeditions (trips to Mongolia, Tibet & China), the Boojum Institute for Experential Education, the Boojum Tree (of Baja California), and various boats, plus single entries about assorted oddities including (at #30) a 'Dark Wonderland' game & prospective film.

Hmmm ... don't fancy that travel firm one; customers liable to softly and suddenly vanish away (in the midst of their laughter and glee), if you ask me.

I daren't enquire further upon the nature of 'Dark Wonderland' - almost as worrying as a title called 'Debbie does Alice', although maybe in Mr Carroll's more fevered imaginings...

Surely 'Debbie Does Alice' is about a woman visiting every shop in an austrailian town ?

I actually thought it was about a talented child actress by the name of Debbie...

There have been several film versions of 'Alice In Wonderland'. Film Unit intended to show Disney's version one term. They sent off for the trailer and ran it with some other film. Gosh, were they surprised when it turned out to be a trailer for an X-rated version.

Not as surprised as the audience at The Anvil arts cinema, who were supposed to get a trailer for 'Flash Gordon' at the children's matinee, and got 'Flesh Gordon' instead. True !
