I'm missing out on something 'cos nobody's ever seized my palace!! I even gave them a fee.

Reference back a bit: What happened to the T-shirt of doom?

Does BK still have it in a place guarded by pointy sticks?

BK blundered a little bit by putting it in a place guarded by shiny sticks and then failing to reveal the location in true supervillain style. She's probably still there, pointying.

I've just found this pointy stick with a T-Shirt tied to it. Should I worry?

I've just found this round black vinyl thing with a hole in the middle. Is this a record?

If you have the T-shirt of doom, that explains why it never reached these shores.

I think the shiny black thing with a hole in the middle might be a rock'n'roll record which I think the Land of the Long White Cloud might have had enough of.

**I love splitting infinitives. But if you slit one, then split a half of an infinitive, and then split half of one of the split pieces, how many steps until there is no infinitive left?

That might be the record we were playing when this picnic began in 1982. There were shiny words on an idealistic seafront. Then the seagulls stole my sandwiches. Blighters!

Is it Eric and Ernie singing 'Boom Oo Yatta-ta-ta'?

Ah! There is a question from a person with a classical education.

Wasn't the song "Are you lonesome tonight"? I can't remember who was singing it - probably Des.

I feel that it was. It was in black and white when I saw it and the tune didn't come through all that well. It may have ben better in colour.

I think that the other two in the sketch were [Sid?] Green and Hill, the comedy writers.

This sits in my mind due to a mention of them doing it and a cross to Monteverdi

Picnics are off the agenda here now.
So far this week we've had snakes, bushfires and an influx of flies and mosquitos.

Shortly it will be tourists and nothing ruins a nice quiet time in the country than an infestation of Victorians.
