The formatting on the poetry page seems to have gone a bit awry. I have to scroll to the far right to see any of the submissions.

Peotry page looks OK from here (IE 6), but the headline for my Swindon thing is a bit misplaced.

Congratulations to everyone involved on another splendid issue.

Bluebottle: I don't have your problem with formatting on the poetry page. It's working fine for me (also IE6).

Jon: It's no longer possible to escape from Swindon to Oxford by direct train. The service was discontinued on 18th May as part of the strange decision by the Strategic Rail Authority to make services more punctual by withdrawing services.

I knew dat. But I wasn't going to let reality spoil a good gag. As a Swindonian, did the piece make you laugh?

It certainly did! Haven't found the fine public toilets yet, though.

Excellent. You've mentioned about Jasper dining with us last night. I can now blab to the Fforum. He's great. Mari and Emma too. An excellent time was had by all. I'm now a member of the Goliath corporation. Dept: Sums (hard). I've got a badge and everything...

PSD: Jasper's been climbing at Stannage Edge.

we had a great time :-)
food was good too, nice choice Rob

I'm in the post room not sure why
Dell's in Birthday cake division and Rhys (who was appointed in his absence) is in Forgetting division

He remembered us from last year, a week less than a year ago :-) I gather there was a 300% increase in attendance at Abergavenny this year, we'll try to make it back next year - I guess Dante will get the award for changing countries for a signing, we've handed over our crown.

I'm still rather tired, didn't get to sleep till 2 and for some reason woke at 5:30ish as normal :-(

Well worth it though

actually he says peep, cheep, chirrup, squalk, muttermuttergrumblegrumble, oh and now he falls off his pirch whish is followed by a sheepish peek round to see if anyone was looking and a quick scramble back up

I've read most of WN now. Another good issue.

Eddie and I seem rather to be hogging the piccies at Haworth. I guess Eddie being small and cute makes up for the fact that I'm not !

Congrats on joining Goliath. My badge puts me in the Soft Toys Division (naturally).

Want to compare Employee numbers? I can check mine when I get home from work.

Okay, people who had problems with the Poetry page, please go take a look. I tried something but I don't know if it'll work for you, as I couldn't duplicate the problem you had. And I've tried it on IE6 and Netscape7

And Jon, WHICH headline for Swindon...the one on the actual article or the one on the front page? If it's the front page, it's been fixed.

I've still got the problem on the poetry page under Mozilla 1.4. The header and footer are fine, but the main body starts just after the red line ends on the right.

did you hit "reload" so that the browser isn't using the cached version??

Ayup. Reload *and* shift-reload. Still no joy.

Bluebottle, try one last time. If it doesn't work this time, I just don't know what else to do to make it work for you...I've got align tags and percentage tags and everything else I can think of to get it formatted for the picky browsers.

if anyone else who is a guru with HTML wants to take a look at the code, please feel free!

Nope, still weird. And as for picky browsers, Netscape users may soon be moving over to Mozilla...

[news.bbc.co.uk]

"The iconic Netscape browser is about to disappear."
"Many of the staff losing their jobs are moving to the Mozilla Foundation which will now take over the browser's development."
