what has Thursday inspired you to read?

I have just started "Cold Comfort Farm".

Never even heard of it before it was mentioned in FAS.

A whole range of classics from the 19th century, including North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell. Even though it wasn't ever mentioned. Oh and The Painting of Dorian Gray. That was an odd book, almost nightmare worthy.

I'm thinking of checking out "Great Expectations".

Jane Eyre. A bunch of other things at roughly the same time.

Otherwise, not too much really. JFf does not really deal with the fantasy and SF genres which is what I mostly read. Aside from coursework.

I'd forgotten about stig. I had read "Cold Comfort" before TN, I keep meaning to start reading, or at least buy Dorian Gray. I may get there one day once I work through the reading backlog.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

Now that is an answer that someone who learned to read in English most propably won't give...

You'd be surprised at how few people who learned to read in English actually read at all.

The Trial was one. So were attempts at some of the other ones (Jane Eyre, Mill on the Floss) but I tended to get sidetracked somehow while reading those....

First time I read that post I thought it was the title of a single book and couldn't remember ever having heard of it before.
