Aladin - casting couch

For this year's virtual fforum pantomime of Aladin we have so far cast

Evil Genie: Switchbadger
Pantomime Dame: robert
Silhouette: SkidMarks
Pantomime Elephant: Speckles
Chorus: Little Gegs

Since last years casting director is currently in hiding with the WI Victoria Sponge Cake judge, there will be no auditions this year, please invent any part that takes your fancy.

I'm sure anybody that remembers the terribly quick costume changes, that were in danger of blighting last year's performance, will join me in urging everybody to sign up.

Ah yay! I practised so much to land the role of Evil Genie! I never thought I would've been selected! Thank you! ~sobs slightly~

Where could we find scripts or should I head to the library and get "1001 tales of Arabian Nights?"

Pity there isn't a role as hedgeman. That would give me even more of an excuse to write "The Little Book of Haberdashery, Topiary and Vector Calculus."

Auditions for cowardly lion, but realises it's the wrong show.

I'll try get started on my "Little Book of..." this holiday. Also want to work on a few short stories. Will be fun!

As for cowardly lion, I don't see why we can't have one. We can treat it as a cameo role and let the writers loose for a bit.

Aargh, you obviously haven't encountered the backstage writers' Orson Welles complexes yet.

I think we could use a cowardly lion.

Incidentally, does anyone actually feel like writing this?

It could be amusing....

I'll contribute to the sets and scenery, I'd probably make a good tree right now!

What the heck. I will see if I can write something. Only have exams on right now, so plenty of free time. (No, really...)

Is slightly alarmed to discover that Pantomime is going to be filmed this year, Hopes Mr de Mille is too busy looking through the viewfinder to notice that there is no plot, no script and no principal characters.

Fortunately Mr de Mille has become sidetracked into search for unprincipled characters.

<Seems all directors are the same - even virtual imaginary ones>

Hopes ibborobb finds some way of keeping the tumbleweed under control.
