At the rate of Cheese

I recently heard that due to people's jobs being laid off, the rate of petty theft has risen. And that because the rich enjoy their expensive lifestyles, expensive cheeses and such-like are being shop lifted at a substantial rate.

I would love to have more nice cheeses.

Student budgets are so annoying for that....

Agreed. Nice cheeses are so expensive and the student budget is ideal for smelling one cheese a year.

You just have to get yourself invited to some of those wine and cheese events.

Yeah. But those are banned unless the people/societies involved actually serve cheese and wine. Which most do not bother to do.

I liked how the black cheese trade in Thursday's world could relate to this issue.

Is there more detail about which cheeses are being hoiked?

There is a mention of Parmesan as being one of the more expensive cheeses, but what of other cheeses. Are the big hoists of Cheddar, or Edam, or some other regional variety?

And what of such cheeses as Walnut, or Apricot and Brandy?

As I am now indulging in weight loss via self control I find I have less to do with these gourmet cheeses, but I am still interested in the lifestyles of the rich and calorific.
