0) mineral

1)Not normally edible by humans in its original form

2) Not chalk

3) Nottanear

4) Not sand but often experienced at the british sea-side

5) Not rock

6) Not normally found indoors unless you live in a hovel or belong to cash strapped aristocracy

7) not a sea-shell, not even the ones she sells.

Sorry about the triple bugger burger!

8) Not grit, even the true sort.

Hang on a tick, I went back to the beginning and found this at the end of January.

2) Does "0) A common substance of physical reality" imply that it is neither Animal, nor Vegetable, nor Mineral? - No implication but vegetable and animal, with no mineral as far as I am aware.

Then we get on Feb 15
0) OK It's almost wholly mineral

So we seem to be looking for something that started with no mineral and then became almost wholly mineral. Lot's wife? Are we talking Swindon & smiting?

A false conclusion. the quote quoted is from bunyip's reply to a question, whereas the other quote quoted is from OB in the current game. (The answer to the first was chocolate. The answer to the second may indeed be Lot's wife - only OB will know for sure and by now she has probably forgotten. Bless)

Ummm I more worried by the seaside question:

4) Not sand but invariably found at the British seaside

or

4) Not sand but often experienced at the british sea-side

Nothing like a variable invariable to play havoc with the mind.

We probably need a Committee of Sorts to straighten the mess out.

Meanwhile the seaside in Scotland GETS loads of the object in question.

I await the eighth question with a certain amount of abandonment.

We need a Spengler for clarification

We could all follow Sir FFlints admirable example and go back to January?

Or I could ask

8) Is it meterological?

8) Brilliant deduction, Geg.Your mum must have brought you up proper.

Meteorological is what it is but not meteor.

9) Is it a fluffy white cloud in the shape of a cute little bunny-rabbit wearing knuckledusters?

10) Given that:
a: The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain.
and:
b: The precipitation in Portugal plummets primarily on the plateau.

Could it be that:
The bane of British beaches (Brighton) be blasted... umm... rain?

Edited twice because I'm older than I thought.

Full of dry humour and not as old and wet as he cracks on, Misty has plucked the right answer from the muddy realms of uncertainty: the answer is indeed RAIN.

Thanks, OB.

Right.

I've found the pawn tickets for the Traditional Sceptre of Confusion and Orb, but there's no trace of the Suggesting Hat.
I reluctantly admit that I've been wrapping my elderly knees with the Ceremonial Cloak Of Questioneer, bequeathed to me nearly two years ago on April 25, 2012 at 11:40pm by SM, so after a quick trip to the basement to retrieve the Pink Cardboard Box of Maximum Security, the answer is secured and the questions commence.
