0) It is mineral
1)Is it the calcified remains of a once living but long dead king of reptile life? No
2) Has it bin a bread bin of average size and disposition No, it has never bin a breadbin, or any other type of bin
3) Is it useful? Yes, if you have a use for it.
4) Is it precious? No
5) does the average home contain one( or more) Almost certainly yes. (Our home contains many, but only a few on display)
6) Can it be turned on and off? No
7) Is it made of metal? Yes and/or partially yes. (Metal is always present, but sometimes in combination)
8) Do you carry one with you more than once a week? Yes, as part of something else, every day
9) Has it been the home of sea life? No, not ever, never.
10) Do you carry it in a pocket? Yes, I do. (Some examples are too big and/or too heavy to do so, though.)
11) Is it used to find your way? No, but some have been used in that manner. Not the ones that I carry though. The lady who lives in my sat nav would get upset if I used one for direction-finding.
12) Is it a key? No
13) Do you care what colour yours is? No
14) Is it magnetic (or sensitive to magnetism)? yes
15) Compass? No - but most compasses contain one.

17) Is it a non-plastic magnet? Yes (Close enough: Egon had set an electro magnet, so I was going with a permanent magnet)

The cloak, sceptre, hat and sneakers of quizdom pass to MC. Congratatulations.

two bites at capitalisation. I must clean the keyboard.

In my humble1 opinion, it was only my massive ego intellect that got me past this.

1Head Up My Butt - Look, Everybody!

Accepts cloak, sceptre and hat of quizdom, calls appropriate authorities for safe disposal of sneakers.

In retrospect, my answer to Q7 is probably wrong: i thought that plastic magnets required an electric current to work. It looks as if they don't! Sorry OB if I mislead you.
All the ones that I carry daily are things like clasps on my phone case and similar. They are metallic.

The only shark I could find was non-cuddly and hungry. As a complimentary gift that...

I'm guessing "no", but its sportitudinous proclivities are irrelevant to identification.

He's a real living person. Been on TV and all. I don't expect that everybody here will know him, though.
