0) Mostly vegetable with a dash of mineral.

4) Is it manufactured? Yes
5) Is it used more in winter than in summer (in those parts of the earth where such a distinction matters)? No - in use all year round. (except in extremes)
6) Is it an item of clothing? Yes-ish
7 )Is it connected to sports? Not in this instance - no.
8) Is it worn on the body? Yes.
9) Is it something that you would only wear on a special occasion? No. Most definitely not.
10) Is it a hat? No.
11) Is it worn on the neck or above? No.
1&2&12) Is it a type of footwear? Yes.
13) Is it a shoe? I would not class them as shoes, and I'm sure any gentleman on the door of a nightclub would not class them as shoes either.
14) Is it a flip flop? No
15) A pair of trainers? Yes! My trusty canvas & rubber trainers/daps/pumps/plimsolls (insert regional variation here) which have never and will not be used in conjunction with any sport whatsoever.

Skids, congratulations! - I pass the cloak, mantle and tiara over to you.

The tiara clashes with my 'tache, so I have given that to mrs SkidMarks, but I will wear the others with pride.

0) Mine is primarily mineral but contains animal and vegetable components.

2) Would it fit inside a standard breadbox?

I've always found that tiara's complement the hirsute man - Kenny Everett was a particularly fine example!

And "trainers" are shoes people wear to run in, or play tennis in, right?

I'm thinking cotton socks, but the dash of mineral... hmmm. And people could wear cotton socks to a special occasion event sort of thing, but the "definitely not" means it's more specific, since socks go anywhere. Even the beach. So maybe house shoes with a metal button. Except you don't wear house shoes outside, well, you aren't supposed to. <innocent look>

Ugh, problem solving skills haven't woken up yet...

Huh. No one asked the breadbox question. Yay! I haven't been replaced. Yet.

VM, are you having another time traveling moment or is it PTS brought on by the sight of Skidmarks in tache and tiara?

If it s the time travel thing I can tell you its probably a Thursday in May 2011, if its the tache/tiara thing I'm afraid you're on your own.

6) Motorised?

<shoving alternate VM out of the room>

Sorry, asked for a stand-in, but I should have paid for one of more quality, one that knows how to count to 70.

Is it seen only in one book?

So, to summarize the quest so far: The subject (or is it object?) sought for is a vehicle, usually motorized and with 4 or more wheels; ffordean but not appearing in any book by JFf.

Thirteen questions to go, and already I'm utterly baffled.

uhrm...

Is it a surface vehicle (as opposed to space/air/underwater/underground/ preterdimensional)?

N.B. The summary above is not mine. Whether it is helpful or not is for the reader to decide

The object (although "subject" will work, I think "object" is better, feel free to disagree [quietly] amongst yourselves) is a surface vehicle "of some description", sometimes has less than 4 wheels (but does not necessarily have 4 most of the time, just 4 or more), is usually motorized, and the books it appears in are not written by our Jasper.

However. As our dear Jasper likes to wander in and out of books written by others, this does not narrow the search overly much. It could be a vehicle that one of Jasper's characters has seen while on a walk-about, or it could be a vehicle that just fits Jasper's sense of style.

My question was made on an assumption that the vehicle was of Jasper's writing just because it is Ffordian. Obviously that was not a good assumption.

As I am not fully back to being myself, I will let someone else figure out a question from that bit of prose. Or come up with an unrelated question, or whatever.

Again, please note that the summary is that of VM, whether I agree or not is for you to decide.

I am sorry if I misinterpreted your question, VM. A search of the website will give a clue to the vehicle.

The object is the subject of the game, if that helps.
