1) Is it edible - Yes
2) Does it have four legs - Yes
3) Are its eyes to the front (eg cat) rather than to the side (eg horse)? No, horse-like
4) Is it as mammal? - Yes
5) is it real as opposed to fictional? - Yes (Depending on which reality you are currently experiencing)
6) If your hypothetical bog-standard 9 year old daughter wanted one for a pet, would you be surprised? - No. Does that say more about me than the hypothetical brat, though?
0) bigger than a breadbox
7) Would it make a good pet or does it need confination ? Not usually a pet - and smaller than Geg
8) Does it range freely in both hemispheres? Yes (controlled free ranging)
9) Would it look better wearing a waistcoat or a tutu? Probably a tutu
10)That makes it a dainty and attractive animal then; not a pie-eating grumpy ragamuffin? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - get it out with Optrex. I would say no
11)a tutu says pig. So, is it a pig. No. Walt Disney said hippo and he was wrong as well
12)Does it have paws (rather than hooves)? No, hooves.

Shepherd's pie, suit? (A pie in name only, in my humble opinion)

1) is it bigger than a breadbox?

1) It can fit any size bread box but technically will no longer be the object I am thinking of

Do you own one?

1...Can fit any size breadbox but changes its nature when it does

2...Moves but contrary to what I said above has millions of moving parts

3.. Cannot be owned by anybody rich or poor.

Is it a gas?

Would that make it Jumping Jack Flash (is a gas gas gas)

Although it may appear I made a statement categorical
I'd like to make it clear right here my question was rhetorical
There is a precedent in verse (or worse) and it's historical
But! I am not now, nor have I ever been a Major General (Either full size or Model, and at 66 years old I don't feel qualified to identify myself as Modern.)

Why do I so often feel I should apologize for my posts?

Edited because we who are elderly and riddled with arthritis not infrequently mis-hammer our keyboards.

Has it ever been likened to the quality of mercy?
