Cardenio found?

According to the Grauniad a professor at Nottingham University is claiming to have discovered Shakespeare's lost play Cardenio, or at least another play based on it. If David Cameron starts using this as an election issue then we may have to start worrying. Though it would explain why he comes across like a fictional character. Perhaps he's a minor character from Tom Brown's Schooldays?

Did the article say who wrote it?

Sorry, Dibs, you misunderstand. I was referring to the long-running (and once upon a time very popular threads here) about who wrote Shakespeare's plays and sonnets.

It was a joke of sorts.

If Prof. Brean Hammond wrote any of Shakespeare's plays, he would have to be over 400 years old, now.

Unless, of course, he also wrote the article printed in The Guardian then and it has only just be discovered? I didn't think that Nottingham University was that old.

Is he their Regius Professor of Chronology? The article doesn't say.

I'm not entirely how that is a follow on from my post, lol.
