I got a 6, my eyes are now crossed, and I seem to have the most trouble seeing my favorite colors. Go figure.

I got a 15, but I just had LASIK surgery 2+ weeks ago and am not seeing exactly perfectly yet, so that's my excuse. Once things settle down a bit I'll have to try again.

Cheers,

gailfus

The xkcd.com person did a similar sort of thing to the "name that color" page, only you had an open field of about 100 characters to name colors randomly generated for you.

The testing part of it is over, and he wrote an article (sorry, blog. WhatEVer.) about the results. Had me laughing out loud.

HA - someone in the (627 so far) comments mentioned "Shades of Grey"!!!

I got 17. Not great, but my eyes were going funny toward the end of it because I was looking so hard at the computer monitor that I forgot to blink. i think it would be much easier to do with paint chips rather than on screen.

I did the test at top speed ages ago, so I think I could have got a better score than I did, but I will agree that computer screens have a "flicker' element that detracts from true accuracy and colour identification.

Is that what it is? lol, it's pretty trippy when they start to shimmer before your eyes... Or it may have been the very late hour. One or the other. Still, there's also a good chance that I've just wrecked my eyes, lol.
