(Darn it MC, I was hoping I'd be the first to tell about that one! Do we have any lurkers named xkcd?)

...The director, searching for the star, in circles he turns
So many on stage, and one a pachyderm!

We did have a star,
a great Oscar winner
but then he became
a yateveo dinner.

"he's behind you" - I called
as he was raised to the sky,
now he's in his last pitcher
and then he will die.

there was a pachyderm called Speckles
who had really large freckles
that appear a beautiful hue
of deep sky blue
and what looks like sparkles

Ali Babaar and the 40 theives?

Hmmm - its not getting any easier is it? Boots have written to tell us that if we involve them in any way, they will sue. The Director feels that given the available cast, limiting him to only seven dumbos is a little unfair. Ali Babaar, is just a little to close to last year's ill fated attempt to make it entirely comfortable for anybody. We've had communication from his agent saying that red really isn't Speckles's colour, that there is to be no mahout or else, there will be no trunk climbing and Cinderelephant tends to involve mice, which would prove to be a bad, and possibly fatal, idea.

On the plus side everybody loving the idea of a revolving panto, so wheels have been put in motion to make that happen. What could possibly go wrong?

Just a little left of centre - what about the Pirates of Penzelephants

Great idea CR - but to incorporate the revolving aspect ... can we have Pirates of Penzelephants on Ice! ?

Reminds ibborobb that he (?) is props manager and that therefore finding four elephant sized ice skating boots will probably become his (?) problem. Wonders if he (?) would therefore like to put the Phrozen Pirates of Penzelphants on Ice, on ice for a bit?

Love the idea, and how about:

"I am the very model of a modern Majordomo,
I've information vegetable, animal, and dumbo..."

He is a beast from Africa,*

* as an aside, as African elephants have larger ears than the Asian, but the Asian elephants are smaller than the African, is Dumbo both? *

Also, as he was delivered by a stork and not actually born of his mother, does that mean Dumbo is a threat to Macbeth?

Reassures Geg that, as a "lady" of great resourcefulness, I have managed to secure several sets of faulty (un-angled) sundials that will do nicely as skates for our four-legged, big-footed, performing pachyderms.

And if they are too heavy for it, I still have a melon baller around here somewhere.
