It's very lovely to have you back, do you do a side line in Mammoth hollowing? Also you should be warned that over in the Treehouse the am bush has been significantly pruned. On the one had this has provided a lovely supply of pointy sticks but on the other there is no longer a good place to hide in wait.

Hmm... I could probably trim one, but I'm not really qualified for hollowing mammoths.

It depends on the decor of the room it's going to stand in the corner of, but I always say you can't go wrong with a tasteful silk ruffle.

BK is on her rounds for three weeks.

How many pointy sticks will she use in that time?

How quickly does a pointy stick go blunt?

Can you resharpen a blunt pointy stick and is it the same afterwards?

Is there an ecologically sound approved method of disposal of blunt and possibly shortened pointy sticks?

Is 'pointy sticks' a brand name or is it a generic term in public usage for a class of items? (This point raised by an American registering 'Ugg' boots and stopping Oz producers from selling their products as @#$%&boots. The name has been around for at least 30 years.)

Is there a relevant question I have failed to ask?

Post posting post:

The word 'U g g' has scrambled to a term usable as describing aforementioned septic.

How blunt does a pointy stick have to be before it stops being a blunt pointy stick and becomes just a stick?

A blunt pointy stick can never be just a stick. It's a one way transition from stick to pointy stick. It retains the morphic resonance of the point, even when completely blunted.

It's a bit like using a pencil whose graphite has been reduced so far that it has completely disappeared inside the wood. There will still be those who, in absence of a sharpener, will try to write with it.

I feel that the entire point of a pointy stick is its point, and a pointy stick lacking a point is both without a point and pointless.

Sorry if that seemed a little pointed, but my point was that the point needed to be made.

Sticking to the sticky matter of the pointy stick, it's the stick that makes the point of the pointy stick stick.

I'm keeping my eyes closed. Seeing all these sharp things is making me nervous.

Fear not, VM. I was speaking bluntly.

a philosophical question:

When impacted by a pointy stick does it penetrate an remain there by some mechanical process, or does it stick as if having some adhesive property?

This could be relevant to the analysis of when does a pointy stick cease being a pointy stick and become a blunt stick with memories of past glories>

Ahah! I suspect we need to do some experimentation.
