My daughter has just informed me that she has been learning about Jasper Fforde in school. I was quietly congratulating myself on sending her to a school with such a broad education when she went on to say that "he invented the first car and he was American".

Ah well - there are some things that are best taught at home LOL!

Well, at least there is a Mr. Ford that is an American who has his name on a bunch of cars - that is a good start! And Jasper likes cars (I wonder if he's ever owned a Ford? a Fforde?), so I can understand the connection.

I suppose that young Mercedes will be surprised that she needs to change her name to "Model"

Well. the Fords he photographed are all "a bit ugly"...

heheh, nice. Although the day I found out that a Jasper Fforde book was on my little brother's VCE literature reading list, I was pretty happy.
