Name Game

OK, I've lifted this from elsewhere, but it's fun ... it's the one where you choose the name you would be known under were you to get a job acting in er, adult movies. According to urban myth, p0rnstars take their bynames from the name of their first pet + the name of the first street they lived on.

I come out as Biddy Mough (pron. muff) which would work were I of the opposite gender, but Claire's is really good ..... Bubbles Jiggins, which is what I'm going to call her from now on.

Working on current pet/address I'm Bob Southgate, which sounds more like an estate agent than a sex god.

So, fforumites ... what's yours?

Well. working from my very first pet, and the original name of the street I was born on, you get Humphrey Woodside. Which sounds far more like a character from 'Yes Minister'.

Using the name of the first pet I owned as an adult, and taking the current name of the road where I was born: Shiraz St David. Now that sounds much more glamourous.

There's a site somewhere with a list of names like 'Rainbow Star'. You have to guess which ones are porn stars and which are 'My Little Pony' names. Unless you are a particular fan of either, it's almost impossible to guess right.

Well, discounting many many pairs of fish with related names who died in less than a fortnight, I would be Smudge Deveron. Which is...just a bit random, really.

Well, I guess that makes me Tramp Minnesota. I think it sound like a book of hiking trails for the Gopher State.

What if you never had pets? I don't think the canary had a name!

well, I'd be either Sylvester Orchard Bluff or Frisky Orchard Bluff for first homes...if it were now, I could be

Scooter Willow Oak
Crickett Willow Oak
Loki Willow Oak
or my fave (as it actually sounds like more of a D&D name)
Odin Willow Oak

Okay - I would start out as Tweety Monks. Then Gambler Monks (which sounds like a name from a Danielle Steel novel!)

Spitfire North Stroud
Colditz North Stroud
Hedwig North Stroud
Hodge North Stroud

Fairly boring - if I had to I'd stick to Tweety Monks!

Sheesh, mine sounds weird ...

... Zippy 86.

Zippy was a goldfish, and I was a littlelittlesmallchild on 86th Street in NYC. It kind of does sound like a pornstar name, that one.

Chomsky (or Minsky) Lake Gardens?!

H'mm, good job I haven't the slightest inclination to become a porn star...

My first cat was female, so I guess my porn star name would be "Tasha Robbia". Yuck. Going off my first male pet (so I don't have to explain to the director the girl's name), I'm "Max Robbia". Still pretty awful.

first I'd be Snap Lowedges

now I'd be Sylvester Cowley

I think I'd be quite an odd porn star, I don't think I'll consider what I'd be into.

At my current address, though not with current cats, I could be Amber Harcourt or Candy Harcourt. Those might do if I ever took up writing for Mills and Boon (which is frankly unlikely)(now *there's* a name !)

Hmmmm...don't know what street we lived on when I was very young (I'll have to ask mum), so for now I'll go with the earliest one I remember. That would make me:

Emerald Ann Arbor
(first pet was an iguana, and I lived on Ann Arbor Trail, in Plymouth, MI.)

Whereas if I went by current oldest pet and current street I'd be
Romana Lambkins

Greetings all, former lurker here. I suppose this is as good a thread as any to introduce myself... :)

Mine's "Muppet Chapel", which is none too exotic, but sounds like just the place for Miss Piggy and Kermit to have a shotgun wedding.

Mine would be Smokey McCleod, which sounds more like a detective. Jumping ahead a few years would make me Willow 168th Avenue.

Stupid grid streets...

If I combine the name of my hamster, and the road I lived on when I owned her, I could be Goldie Canns Lane !

Hello to all the new people I haven't already said hello to - there's a lot of newbies at the moment so I keep forgetting (and jolly amusing they are too)

My name would be Harry Rogers, based on first house and pet. I think that's fairly likely, to be honest.

Tess Drakes isn't quite up to it, so I'll have to move...

Update - plyed this game with members of my family after diner, and it worked in every case. Much hilarity ensued.
