Mighty weekend winds collapsed a wall in my new rented garden! What else might have gone out there in 'Real World Number 5'?

As the wind whistled through the broccoli, did it sound like a recorder and sackbut duet of "Don't Fence Me In"?

Will you send some of your mighty winds this way so as to sweep up some of this snow?

Okay, I was JOKING about sending the wind this way. Today was far too windy for me (and therefore well below freezing).

Back in 1983 we had a cyclone named Tracy strike on December 23 which virtually flattened all of suburban Darwin - to the extent that in one suburb only six houses were left habitable - and left a refrigerator on top of the Travelodge motel - six floor up.

If this wasn't bad enough there was a song; "Santa never made it into Darwin cos a big wind blew it away...'

30 years later we still don't know which was the worst.

So keep your light and fluffy breezes.
