Short Story

Howdy, I'm holding a short story night for someone's birthday and was just wondering if anyone could recommend something good for me to read. Previously I've done Zelazny and Conan Doyle and have kind of run out of stories short enough to be disposed of in 15 to 20 minutes.

Egon the Spengler.

At least one collection by Wladimir Kaminer, "Russian Disco" has been translated to English. If you find more, they are highly entertaining.

Thank you all. It gets harder to pick stories after the third or fourth night!

Thank you again all. I've acquired the Lem: 'The Cyberiad', and will hopefully select out of that, some Fred Pohl or from my infamous pile of Conan Doyle and Zelazny.

Alas, they'd be more infamous but Wodehouse has landed there yet.
