I wouldn't trust Mildred to write her own warning. But if Minsky wants to, that's fine with me!

I have actually got a ceramic plaque, brought back by my parish priest from Assisi, which reads "Attenti al gatto" (beware of the cat). Minsky and Klinsmann have been arguing ever since about which of them it applies to.

Surely in Assisi it would be 'beware of Brother Cat'?

Excellent... "attenti al Fratello Gatto" does have a certain ring to it! :-)

Tell them they've never heard of plurals over there, so it obviously applies to both...

"Attenti al gatto" - surely a line from Italian Celebrity Fat Club, surely?

As I mentioned somewhere else earlier, I'm having a bit of an amazon blowout tonight... it turns out that according to amazon, chris *fox* wrote wizard's brew. Is this right?

Anyway, it's out of print, apparently.

there are two chris fox's, one wrote Wizards brew, enjoyable comic fantasy, the other wrote LUCI in the sky, extremly good thriller type thing

I was surprised at someone writing in such different styles, it makes sense him being 2 people

Ah, I saw LUCI, it's available, but I don't really read spy stuff. Plus there's one *really* bad review on amazon for it, and one mildly lukewarm one.

I've thoroughly enjoyed it, thriller doesn't seem the right description, it reminds me of umm Only you can save manking, but with adults and no aliens just an AI

A friend of mine is fond of the warning 'May choke small children', found on many packets of peanuts. A useful reminder if there are any annoying, screaming toddlers about...

Sorry - I'm with Skiffle on this. You should have to apply for a licence before being allowed to have children.

indeed. And he had his first 'proper' haircut yesterday. He looks *so* grown up.

And if I catch anyone near him with a peanut, there'll be trouble.. :-)

Did I mention that he's 2 on tuesday? where does the time go? (I know where the money goes...)

he started the terrible twos early. He's very advanced.

actually, two to three is one of my favorite ages for children. I think they get a bad rap! They're active and very eager to learn. Yes, they test the limits and quickly learn to push buttons, but if you don't let it bother you and just chalk it up to a growth experience for the child, it's quite a bit of fun.

so sayeth the former nanny with no children of her own!

talking of pushing buttons, he's discovered the 'on' button on the stereo, and has worked out how to change channels. He was headbanging to The White Stripes the other morning. There's hope for the boy yet.
