Once a pun a time in a far distant universe a language was developed that wouldn.t support puns. I think it is called 'legalese'.

But speaking of something or other did you see the news report that puns are banned in Chinese news broadcasts as being 'confusing and nontranslatable'.

Perhaps we should apply this to Hansard.
