This thread seems to have remained on topic for quite a while. This is simply not good enough.

90% for me - and the one that I got wrong I got on guess 4!

90% for me as well, and I'm amazed I completely failed to recognise the 2nd line of a favourite story. I even read it in magazine form before it was "novelised".

It was brilliant and the slimy coves did gyrate and gambol in the waves (How do you turn the spellchecker off?) Jabberwocky

I enjoyed the quiz and also got 90%.Good fun.

I must be a total ignoramus.

Don't worry Bunyip, the quiz did have a limited range of topics. If you don't read that sort of stuff you're stuffed to begin with.

Alice was beginning to get very tired of sitting by her sister on the bank, and of having nothing to do: once or twice she had peeped into the book her sister was reading, took it of her and spent the rest of the afternoon absorbed in reading.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, then put the project into the "too hard" basket, had a nice cuppa and a lie-down and moved on to other projects.
