What are you good at on your computer?

I use the Visual Basic behind Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Access (mostly Access) to make my computing life much, much easier. I don't feel that I do anything particularly clever, and I've been doing it for so long that it feels natural.

Anyone else into casual computer stuff like that?

Original post mercy-killed to reduce mind boggling impenetrability

Mostly I am very good at reading posts on Nextian chat on my computer.

Sometimes, however, people write things of such mind boggling inpenetrability that I find that I'm not even very good at that.

Fortunately, a very kind and thoughful man keeps phoning me and warning me that there is a computer virus in my area and that my computer is at serious risk, perhaps I'll ask him what you mean next time he calls.

Try asking him which version of Ubuntu he can patch. If he is the same nice man offering to help us, he can't get back to his script if you ask him enough questions.

I have been considering playing along and then asking him for his bank details so that I can transfer the money.

Mourns reduction of inpenetrable post, its not more penetrable, just a lot briefer.

I imagine its a bit like Mo Farah would feel if they said, actually we thought you could run the 100 today, Bolt's having an off day.

On my computer I am very good at entering complex calculations and receiving entirely the wrong answers. It is a special gift.

But surely you don't need
the computer if you know it delivers wrong answers.

I've always wondered... is egon spengler a ragman. Sorry I meant anagram.

You should ask his mates, Peter & Ray. I am sure that they can decrypt the anagram.

I have recently become good at editing podcasts, writing endless series of blog posts on mundane topics and being ever so slightly deranged with Flickchart.

We don't grow personnel from eggs here at the Quirky Muffin.
