I've just typed up what parish records and Bishops' Transcripts are available for Leigh Delamere.

Why does Leigh Delamere still make me chuckle?

Leigh Delamere, lesser known brother of Walter. Wrote the poem "Those Hard of Hearing", which has, quite rightly, fallen into obscurity.

It makes you chuckle because it's the sort of thing Jasper would use in his books

as a name. Some Essex examples... Stansted Mountfitchet or Theydon Bois

You've got a great job by the sound of it Lycanthra : on a par with working at a

County Library Headquarters like what I done innit.

it always amazes me that the .com for leigh delamere is still not taken. Every so often I'm tempted - but I don't really know what to use it for. Suggestions on the back of a SSAE ...

He did use it, or Leigh Delamere services at least. Can't remember which book but I think Thursday goes there to meet Spike....

It was in The Eyre Affair.

Hades asked his henchman Delamere what reward he wanted, he asked for a service station to be named after his mum Leigh.

My mum is called Dorothy and her email is

dottydotty.dot@blah.com

not quite so complex, but still hard to explain to people on the phone

p.s. my first post :-)

Welcome to the family stranstrigulon. Is it an anagram? The pieman will be along to see you shortly.

It is an anagram of Ian.

Or just a sign that my mind is on the way out.

My mind went out quite some time ago, stranstringulon, and hasn't yet returned.
If you see it while you're out there, would you mind giving it directions back to the quivering wreck in the corner of the Treehouse Library?

Thanks.

I do hope you're losing it stranstringulon (in the nicest possible way of course), because if it is an anagram I've been spelling my name very wrong for a very long time. Welcome aboard and without "it" you should fit in fine.

(Why did I find it amusing that the predictive text on my phone couldn't spell anagram?)

Now, thats the sort of thing I would want it to do :) set dictionary to anagram and off you go. hilarity all round!

Hi stranstringulon. Today the sweet pies are on the left, the savoury on the right, so make sure that you don't approach the table from the front or back or you will get confused.

What if I approach from the other side?

That is fine. Remember, though, that while the pies are virtual, they are not ghostly.

But are they viral (and malt) yet?
