But here's a new one:
I like my coffee like...

I like my coffee like I like my men.
Fresh ground, and in a pot.

...

I like my coffee like I like...

Hi, BK.
Welcome back. Where have you been hiding?

I like my coffee like I like my naps:
frequent and undisturbed by extraneous influences.

I like my coffee like I like my grandkids' laughter:

Sweet and never-ending.

Like I like my kittens:

Without sharp pointy sticks.

I've not been hiding so much, as addicted to Facebook, lol. I kind off fell off the face of the earth while I was studying though, then caring for my young cousin after his mum died.
I do hope the pointy stick was passed on to an equally nasty successor!

I like my coffee like I like playing the game, some you win and drink, some you lose and they go all over the 'king place.

Coffee is like sex - all of it acceptable but some of it much better than the rest.

It is just I am not sure where the milk and sugar are involved, or the coffee biscuits.

Suggestions please.

Did you follow 1190?

Thanks, SM.

I spent a lot of time exploring 1190 in the week it came out, and I took great pleasure in finding everything before the maps and discussion.
I didn't know about the geekwagon effort, though.

Um... Bye for a while.

Will you be gone for long?

11:35-ish to 9:55-ish (New Zealand time) this trip, 98% of that time spent on Time.
Much more exploring to do.

Those of you not retired and with commitments that prevent you from dedicating a "spur of the moment" 10 hours or so to exploring an XKCD comic may now turn whichever shade of green you feel best represents envy. I'm old and I need these small victories.

I'd like to explain slowly and clearly, without shrieking or firing anything into the air, that I thought 1190 was 1110 [www.xkcd.com] (Click and Drag), which cost me very large chunks of my online time.

I didn't know about 1190 (Time)

I feel I should confess, rather than just say, that statement. I've followed Randall Munroe and XKCD pretty much as closely as the Trashcan Man followed Randall Flagg, since at least 2007. Anyway, I've been punished by not experiencing The One True Comic in the manner intended by The One True Author. I missed learning expressions such as Present Present, coined when BlitzGirl reached the Present Time and presented her first Boom De Yada to the thread.
[xkcd-time.wikia.com]

Um... Bye for another while.
Edited to indicate just how much longer I've spent on XKCD 1190.
Thanks for setting me on the true path, SkidMarks. (Said in a tone of utmost sincerity without actually making eye contact.)

SM, my heartfelt thanks/you utter b*st*rd for making me aware of XKCD's 1190 The One True Comic, which over the past 96 Newpix has attracted my attention/utterly obsessed me to the point where I'm casually glancing at/obsessively blitzing the entire thread, currently on page 83 of 1384. Don't know how long it will take me to catch up. Don't want to know. "LaLaLaLaLa not listening." I'm not doing the math. I refuse to do the math. The thread is growing faster than I can read (and I'm a (ahem) mind-bogglingly fast reader (genetics, probably, because I've put bugger-all effort into it (it just comes naturally, and I .... (just how parenthetically deep am I?) Ah, hell. Take what you need. ))))))

Um Im going back to XKCD, now.
