I was just reading the February edition of Psychologies magazine and came across this on page 41. This is verbatim so excuse the spelling of Nest... I mean Next

Kathy Reichs on Books...

I love Thursday Nest, a character in Jasper Fforde’s novels. She’s a literary policewoman who investigates crimes against literature, she has to deal with a father who keeps popping in and out of time because he is a time detective so she ever knows when he’s going to materialise. They are wonderful books.

Honest, I kid you not!

Woo! Maybe you can write to the magazine and have them fix the error though.

She is a (real-life) fforensic anthropologist and novelist and the inspiration for the t.v. series "Bones" starring Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz.

Hmm, I think it is rude to make a spelling mistake of a name... especially in a public thing such as a magazine! An erratum is really needed for that along with profound appologies to Jasper!

Bones is on Sky TV in the UK, not heard of her either.

Mightthe spelling error be down to the person that did the interview, and not Kathy Reichs?

TV? Hmmm can't seem to be really interested in it, and yes I am female! I think I have watched around 5 hours total of TV in the last one and a half months of actually being home!

I only tend to watch TV if I'm interested in a show that's on. I love 'Monk', and most historical and nature docos, but beyond that there's nothing on I like.

Oh, 'My Family' is brilliant, too.

Wish Mythbusters would come back on....

Hehehe, my parents got me hooked on Monk while I was home for winter break.

Don't worry about not hearing about Bones, I only just heard of it, and was strapped to a chair by my roommate and made to watch the pilot. She's very bad for my tv watching habits. I used to NEVER watch TV. Now I have a show that I *have* to catch every Thursday. Blasted pop culture.

Actually, even shows I'm hooked on I don't actively seek out. (I don't have a tv but I can go watch the big screen tvs in the common areas of the dorm.) The only show I watch with any regularity is Gilmore Girls, but that's only because it's a social thing--our whole group of friends gets together to watch it.

My Family and Monk are good. Can do without them though. I think the extent of my TV watching extends to "whatever's on when I stroll through the lounge". And in term time, nothing.

Just to add to the weirdness - I was watching "Bones" recently, and Booth asks Bones "If you had a pet pig, what would you name it?" and she answers "Jasper"!

I love Monk, as well as Pysche. Which is in it's second season. It's about a private dectective that pretends to be physic. Very funny.

My Family is great, however I am a bit of a couch potato and have many programmes that I will quite happily watch, although I am not any where near as bad as I used to be. Saddly the programmes that I watch regularly are Question Time and This Week, Neighbours (tis the best!), Mock the Week (I love Dara) and Ugly Betty now. Will watch most things tho!

Also love my books!
