Rob, I suspect you are right about it being the beer. We are going to Prague for 3 nights (in just under 4 weeks!!) where the flights are expensive (£190) but the beer is @#$%& (40p a pint!). It should be a top weekend.

By the way, Carla, anyone, do you know what english people do to bottles when serving vodka on bars?
My gf asked for Absolut then she didn't finish it cos she said it was too strong.... but the bottles are the same, right? And if you ask for a vodka, they just pour from the bottle, with ice, right?

the measurments here are all set, in portugal they serve them stronger, what we in the UK would call a double or a triple

Quite often vodka on the continent will be the proper 40%+ version, rather than the weedy 35% version you tend to get over here....
