Seriously, you lot up North all seem to know each other and there's only Carla and me down South (although I'm a Lincolnian by birth) so I had to so something!

I just hope the cake survives - it was blazing hot in Winchester but the Wykeham Arms still had a blazing fire in the bar! Honestly, even for Brits who don't believe in good weather (even in the summer) this was taking things too far!!!

Susan, what a fantabulous idea! Thank you for thinking of it! If there's anything I can do over here for you, let me know! I'm sure Jon and Claire (especially Claire!) will be surprised.

yes - very easy to do - let's see what's happening nearer the time - but something could well be in the offing - if any one else would like to be considered, let me know

I will probably be around the Cheltenham area on the 7th. If it's feasable to do it by car I'll have a few seats avaliable so if psd or anyone fancies a lift I don't mind doing that.
