I have recently adopted a cat whom I have named Jasper. My previous cat was Shakespeare.
This has led me to wonder does anyone else has pets with literary names?
Our present cats are named Max and Moritz after the two naughty boys in the stories by Wilhelm Busch.
Our previous cat was named Mog, after "that cat" from the children's books.
"dogs and frogs and pigs and chickens..." (thank you Mr Henson)
cats and cars are welcome to this thread, and though display similar spelling, should not be combined. (Possible explanation for loss of previous cat. sniff sniff)
Every cat I've ever had has been called Max. I have no logical, witty or literary explanation for this; it has simply been easier than getting used to a new name.
We have 9 cats and three dogs all with individual iconic names. They all acknowledge the name (this bit in response to comments on another thread) 'You Bast*rd'
