Chocolate

Ahem, this is a valiant attempt to have a thread where no-one talks about chocolate. Come on, people, we can resist temptation, can't we?

(Alternatively: What's your favourite Sesame Street character? Mine is Snuffy.)

Egon.

Ah, the Count! How could I forget the Count? Oh, the shame!

I propose that if anyone says Elmo that they be reeducated immediately.

Egon.

If you were a character from Sesame street, would you be the Count? I agree with you over Elmo fans.

Well, I'd like to be The Count, but I suspect I'd more accurately be represented by Oscar or Bert.

Let's nominate The Count for president! He has at least one vital skill that George W didn't have!

Egon.

You have to tell me, I have no idea what that was (intelligence?). You wouldn't be Oscar! You aren't green.

Ah I remember the days when Mr Snufffeluaguss was a figment of Big Birds imagination! Mr Hooper was pretty cool.

The Pigs in Space were only on the Muppets weren't they? Most days I feel more like one of the Doozers on Fraggle Rock.

Muppet Treasure Island was awesome. I want to see that again.

Incidentally, Tim Currie is in the new Red Alert game as the Russian premier or similar.

I love Ernie and Bert - always think of myself as more like Ernie (madcap) but think in fact I am more like Bert (sensible). I love the routines they have and in similar vein loved those 2 grumpy critics - someones will remember their names - who sat in the balconey on the Muppett Show making sarcastic remarks.

Female character - Miss Piggy - bit of a control freak, occasional hissy fits, bit deluded about own abilities and appeal. THis is no doubt a fogey comment - but aren't the female muppets these days all a bit nice, sparkly and girly compared to a great such as Miss Piggy with a bit of attitude?!

Ps Re chocolate - look away if needs be - did you read that Hefner got chocolate replicas of his "girlfriends' breasts, bottom and vagina? Not sure about biting into those or about the role of chocolatier.

Perhaps I do have a little in common with Miss Piggy. It sounds a little familiar...

I knew someone who resembled the eagle muppet (Eric?)
