If you ripped the heads off the flowers then that would definitely count as stalking !

Sorry ;-)

Stone Rob! Stone him! Evil pun!!!!!

I got flowers from a guy once, but it was in 6th grade and it was two daisies he'd picked up outside school. Lovely.

Can I just explain to Dante that some blokes are even clever, romantic and practical enough to not only buy flowers for the object of their desire but also a vase, just in case they didn't have one with them at uni.

Sometimes I outdo even myself...

My ex-fiance used to buy me flowers now and again. Shortly after I went off sick, I got sent a lovely bunch of flowers from work. Paid for on expenses, but I was stunned to see the Interflora man at the door with this huge bouquet.
When I was in hospital, the nurses would bring in flower arrangements that had been left by other patients. One woman was very good at shaping them into new arrangements if necessary. This came in very handy, when the nurses brought us a couple of white arrangements that had been made for a funeral. The ward was gloomy enough as it was

PSD: I'd probably be insulted if a bloke assumed I didn't have a vase. That's why you can't win with girls!

(Actually, that was kinda cool, though :o))

If a bloke assumed I didn't have a vase I would congratulate him on his knowledge of me, in that he would know I had already knocked all my present ones off the sideboard. ;)

Or was that just the girls I dated?

I was working in Oxfam one Valentine's day when a young woman came in to buy a large vase from the Fair trade range. She'd been sent a huge bunch of flowers, hence the need for a new vase. She didn't know who they were from, just that it wasn't her boyfriend....

I've recently bowed to y feminine side and bought some greenery for my room. i've got a pitcher plant, which looks really cool, and a huge bromeliad, with a flame red flower spike. It's amazing how they improve my room, really...

I'm not very good with plants, but I do have a very small cactus in my bathroom by the name of Mr Wilson. (It's an obscure football joke.) Cacti obviously don't need a lot of water, so every time I get to the stage where I can't remember when I last watered Mr Wilson, I water him. He seems to thrive on this treatment.

I dream of the day when Mr Wilson decides to flower.

I once killed a cactus by watering it too often. It rotted.

I grow four different varieties of 'Achimenes' (alias "Cupid's Bower" or "The Hot Water Plant"), and must be doing something right because I've had all of them (with tubers repotted annually) for over a dozen years...

I've just ordered a pitcher plant - [www.littleshopofhorrors.co.uk] for a look.

I've wanted a Nepenthes since I read about them at uni...

I love the name of the shop - do they specialize in carniverous plants ?

I saw the stage show a few years ago. As the hero rushed in to save his love from being eaten by the plant, his cardigan got snagged on the door handle and he got pulled up short and delayed.
She was meant to get eaten anyway (the play is different to the film), but the unplanned handicap added to the drama.

Yup - they specialise in insect eating plants, although the actual name of the shop is rather more mundane. There's loads of plants I want there though - I like sundews as Darwin spent years studying them
